Biography
Laurent Masse is a pastry chef at Valrhona Germany and Austria and has been part of the Valrhona team since 2015.
Laurent began his career in various pâtisseries in France, first in Strasbourg’s famous Winter (where he started his apprenticeship), then with Thierry Mulhaupt, where he gained valuable practical knowledge in the heart of this magnificent European capital. There, he bolstered his experience by completing his Brevet de Maîtrise qualification in pastry-making. He spent the next ten years making exciting gastronomic discoveries in renowned hotels where excellence and exacting standards were de rigueur. It was during this period that he spent five years as a pastry chef at the Brenners Park-Hotel in Baden Baden, a luxurious, Michelin-starred setting in the heart of Germany’s iconic Black Forest. This remarkable experience helped him take his expertise to an outstanding new level.
