On 28 October last, 8,000 French chefs elected the person who had left the deepest impression on them in 2009
Eric Frechon, chef at “Le Bristol” in Paris, was the acclaimed winner. He was the only personality to have been awarded 3 prestigious stars in the Michelin 2009 Guide.Christelle Brua, a young 31 year old chef from the “Pré Catalan” in Paris, was honoured with the Pastry Chef of the Year trophy. Her professional path, punctuated with exceptional meetings, has offered her the opportunity to perfect her talents with some of the greatest names, such as Anne-Sophie Pic, Alain Ducasse and Gaston Lenôtre. Other prizes, awarded during this memorable evening, included the Head Sommelier trophy, the Young Talent of the Year and the Ventures of the Year prizes. An occasion, once again, for Valrhona to honour the talents of this prodigious craft.
